Monday, July 11 Catch Up

Sorry for the delay in any posts. First it was a matter of having the time and then I had some time yesterday (Fri) and the internet was "down" at the hotel.

Above you will see some photos of one of the two club vans that Westerstede has. They seat 9 people each and take them to all soccer matches, etc. - very cool. Also pictured above is the bus station in "downtown" Westerstede where we met each day to take off on our adventures. Now some info on what we did last Monday...

Our German hosts took us to a place called Forest 4 Fun. There the girls were able to zipline and climb among the trees. They wore harnesses (as you would for repelling) so that they were "clipped in" for safety at all times. They had a blast. Tessa was scrambling all over the forest and even those who said, "I hate this, I hate this" the whole time (Mariah), seemed to have fun. The weather was perfect with no rain while we were there. I tried to get plenty of photos of the girls but they were running all over the forest.

Paris

We are having a great time in Paris. The evidence of this is that I am writing this at 1:40am and have not had time to Blog..... trying to work it in tomorrow. I wanted to do a quick post so no one is worried. We were able to see USA beat France in the World Cup - it was on right when we got here. We are looking forward to the USA beating Japan now!

Leaving Germany

Very early tomorrow morning we leave Germany by train. We should arrive in Paris at 4pm on Wednesday. I hope to catch up the Blog on Wednesday.

Sunday Night

Sunday night we went back to the clubhouse to watch USA vs. Brazil......If you've been keeeping up, you know it was an exciting night for us!

Sunday Continued

After Climate House the girls had free time to shop at the mall next door. Afterwards there was a little down time while we all gathered. There's nothing like a game of Ninja to fill the time.

Climate House

On Sunday we went to Climate House in Bremerhaven. It was an interactive museum that discussed the different climates on the planet and the people that live there (you can Google for more). Pictures were difficult as the girls split up and there were many places a flash could not be used but here are some.
