I tried to take several photos and videos of the girls that tried the water skiing / wake boarding. It is an automated system of pullys and such that tow you around a man-made lake. It looks pretty hard to get the hang of it but the girls that tried it were troopers because every time you fell you had to swim, with your board to shore.... very tiring. We were lucky in that a young woman (forgot to get her name) that speaks perfect English happened to be there (she does not work there but is there often and agreed to help out). She is from Kansas City (though has been here quite a while from her accent) and her mother is an English teacher. Her mother takes students on a cultural exchange trip to Texas (of all places) every year so she was more than happy to help when she leared of our situation. You will see her sitting next to the girls in several of the photos as they prepare to "take off." Most of the girls used the board (like snow boarding on water). A few switched to skiis for a bit to see if it would be easier until one of the German girls (Christine) had her skiis fly up and the tips caught her above the eye causing a lump.
